VET-CXL Corneal Cross-Linking (CXL) System

VETUVIR VET-CXL          UV-A Corneal Cross-Linking (CXL)

**Antimicrobial Therapy specifically designed for Veterinary Ophthalmology **

  • Utilize CXL to aid in the management of:
    • Corneal Infection
    • Corneal Ulcer (including melting ulcers)
    • Bullous keratopathy
  • Specifically designed for use in veterinary ophthalmology
  • Effective in monotherapy
  • No damages to corneal endothelium
  • Antibiotic resistance does not affect treatment efficacy
  • Quick procedure and easy to use
  • Portable and powered by power bank
  • Made in Europe
  • Treatment requires the application of riboflavin (Vitamin B12) such as Equirvis prior to irradiating the cornea with UV-A

Description

VETUVIR UV-A Corneal Cross-Linking (CXL)
UV Source: LED in the UV-A wavelength range

Emission Characteristics

  • Peak wavelength: 365 nm
  • Bandwidth: 8nm (half amplitude)

Radiated Power: 35 mW/cm2 (max)

Power Density: 10 mW/cm2 or 30 mW/cm2

Irradiation Area: 9mm diameter

Focusing: Based on the use of the included adapter for focusing

Working Distance: 100mm

Performance: The VETUVIR device delivers UV-A radiation to the cornea  of nominally 365 nm wavelength at an irradiance of 10±1 mW/cm2 or 30±3 mW/cm2 over an exposure period of 9 or 3 minutes respectively to deliver a total energy density of up to 5.4 J/cm2.

The UV energy (dose) is the product of the UV power (intensity) and the UV irradiation time.
